Yesterday, Grandma Patti, Chase and I went to the 11:00 Disney on Ice show at the I-Wireless Center. It was great. This is the second show that Chase and I have gone to, we went to Playhouse Disney Live back in October. Ever since then Chase has been sold on going to shows. When we would see the advertisement on T.V. he would ask "Mommy, can we go to that show?" the only part of the show that Chase struggled with was when Tinkerbell cried in the corner. He was so upset and could not understand why she was crying.
Everything else has been great. This past week we had three snow/cold days and therefore Chase and I have been sleeping in again. Monday will be difficult to get back into the routine once again.
Chase continues to grow and be Mr. Independent. He just got a knew tooth brush (a Spongebob tooth brush) and he loves it. We brush our teeth a lot and he always makes sure I smell his breath when he is finished. Needless to say my bathroom always has toothepaste and water all over when he finishes. I guess it is the price you pay for letting them learn on thier own.

Back to our routine
It has been very difficult getting back into the swing of getting up early and teaching everyday. You can definitely tell that Chase and I truly enjoyed Christmas break and we are paying for it now. When Chase returned to the babysitters on Monday, we were very happy to take his 2 barbies along. Chase was so excited to show the girls and I was excited to donated to the collection. His father is very happy that there are no longer barbies in the house.
By teaching day is very busy and right now I am not coaching anything, so it is very nice to be able to come home by 4:00 if I would like. I will coach track in the Spring and that does not start until the end of March, and that is followed up by softball. Those two sports and starting my internship will keep me busy until the end of June. My internships will last until next Winter, and next year at this time I will be looking for and administrative position.
Just recently we put a remnant in the basement, which Chase is very much enjoying. We have a great play area set up where he plays with his cars, trains, and his bike. While he plays I get to run on the treadmill. Yes, I am crazy but I can definitely tell that 30 minutes a day of running puts me in a much better mood. When I finish running, Chase then takes his turn and walks about 1 minute and that is plenty. Craig has not joined in the fun, and he tries to blame bad knees for not running. He claims that a stationary bike would be his route, so if anyone has one for sale let me know.

Barbies!
So Josh Oliver, one of Chase's godparents, asked him what he would like for Christmas and Chase responds "Barbies" What a proud mother am I? All of you can just imagine Craig's reaction. The worst part, Josh actually followed through with the request. Chase has a beautiful blonde barbie and a beautiful brunette barbie and he has named them Mom and Dad! (I think that I am the blonde and Craig is the brunette but I am not really sure) He combs their hair and takes care of them..... I am blaming this on the babysitter as I know he plays barbies with the girls at the sitters.
News Years Eve was very low key as we went to Patti and Donnie's and enjoyed a steak dinner, had some wine, and were home and in bed by ten thirty. We then hosted a small gathering to enjoy the Hawkeye victory. We even spotted Mark Jr., Grandma Shelly and Papa Mark on T.V.
